Mount Prospect Public Library is searching for a tech-savvy, customer-service oriented individual to join our Research Services desk staff. The Research/Technology assistant will be responsible for providing a wide range of service to our patron community including ready reference, and assistance with computers/library equipment/personal devices. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with technology programming, 3D printing and digital media equipment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop especially) and Apple computers/devices preferred. The flexibility to work additional hours to assist with patron programs would be appreciated.
SALARY: $16.96 PER HOUR
BENEFITS: Part of the total compensation package includes paid time off benefits (I.e., vacation and sick leave). Retirement savings options include participation in the IMRF pension plan.
Schedule (approximately 23 hours including weekend rotation):
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 1 pm to 5 pm
Wednesday 1 pm to 9 pm
Weekends in rotation: Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday noon to 6 pm (approximately every 4th to 5th weekend)
