The Brookfield Public Library, serving a community of nearly 20,000 and home to the world famous Brookfield Zoo, is seeking an Assistant Librarian for its Adult & Teen Services department. The Library is thrilled to be in the midst of building a brand new facility which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2021 featuring a separate teen space, a maker room and more. Adult & Teen Services Assistants are charged with providing in-person and remote reference service to community members, developing and delivering virtual and face to face classes and events, collection development, website editing and more.
Master's degree in Library Science preferred but experience working in adult and teen services will be considered. The ability to establish rapport with community members and colleagues is essential.
