Write a Novel in 30 Days at the Joliet Junior College Library this November. All aspiring novelists are invited to participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) at the JJC Library. Whether you are student or staff, a faculty or community member, the Library welcomes you to "Come Write In."
The Library will offer four Come Write In sessions over the course of the month. There will be access to a Quiet Writing Room (A-2003) with computers, plus seating in a more collaborative space with tables (Library Event Area). This is also where any speakers will be hosted.
Come Write in Sessions
· Wednesday, Nov. 1: 7-10 pm – Kick Off
· Wednesday, Nov. 8: 8-10 pm – See Special Author Event listed below during the 7pm hour
· Wednesday, Nov. 15: 7-10 pm – Special Guest, JJCs own 3x NaNoWriMo winner, Sam Ritz (Marketing)
· Wednesday, Nov. 29: 7-10 pm – Last Session, with special prizes!
There will be free warm beverages and snacks, plus door prizes for attendees. Don't forget to pick up your Library Crawl Card at the Reference Desk!
The Library Crawl adds a bit of fun to NaNoWriMo by encouraging participants to visit write-ins at each of the participating libraries in November. Collect cards for every visit and bring them to the regional TGIO Party for a chance to win prizes. You can find more information about the Library Crawl, the TGIO party and other regional events at: http://www.naperwrimo.org/
Writers do not have to be a NaNoWriMo participant to be a part of any of the Library's free NaNoWriMo events this November.
