We work closely with these agencies and organizations.
Illinois State Library (ISL)
ISL (an office of the Illinois Secretary of State) funds most of our operations through an annual grant from revenue appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly or granted under the federal Library Services and Technology Act.
ISL Talking Book and Braille Service (TBBS)
As of September 1, 2017, all talking book program services for Illinois patrons (including reader advisory, outreach, and distribution of materials and machines) have been consolidated into the ISL TBBS. This includes the advisory service formerly provided by the Illinois Talking Book Outreach Center (ITBOC).
Illinois Heartland Library System (IHLS)
Our sibling regional library system.
Chicago Public Library System (CPLS)
We serve academic, school, and special libraries in the city of Chicago, and CPLS is the library system for Chicago Public Library.
