Community Leaders Express Support for Peoria Public Library in Video

Peoria Public Library celebrated 135 years with a gala fundraiser, "What's Your Story" on Monday, October 12. The well-attended event featured the author of The Aviator's Wife, Melanie Benjamin; book talks by interesting Peorians, a Silent Auction that included a flight in a WWII Warbird and a helicopter ride; artists; music; food; wine; birthday cake; "book reports" by community leaders bound into a "What's Your Story" book and an exciting video filmed and produced by Nick Goodin photography. The video includes testimonials by the CEO of several large companies, including Caterpillar, INC. and Mayor Jim Ardis.
