Recently, members may have experienced delayed or missed deliveries from RAILS. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. As summer and fall came to an end, we began to see a rise in the volume of library materials passing through delivery. Though this happens every year, the added complication of a rise in COVID-19 cases has resulted in delivery staffing shortages.
RAILS has taken every precaution to protect our staff and member libraries since the beginning of the pandemic. If an employee tests positive or shows symptoms associated with COVID, any other employee that was in close contact with that individual must also isolate or produce a negative COVID test. Unfortunately, staffing has become a constant struggle as a result.
Please rest assured that our current staff is working diligently to process and deliver materials as seamlessly as possible. We will notify you of any serious delays and are doing everything we can to prevent missed deliveries. As always, if you have any delivery-related issues, please contact email@example.com.
