The Palos Heights Library invites libraries across the state to participate in a shared virtual event featuring author Chris Bohjalian on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 pm. Chris Bohjalian is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of 22 books. His work has been translated into 35 languages and has been adapted into three movies and a TV series. He will be talking about his newest release The Hour of the Witch. This is the perfect Halloween program!

The purpose of this event is to bring a major author event to patrons and libraries of any size and any budget with minimal effort for participating libraries. We will be hosting this event via Zoom with a capacity of 5,000 total seats. The maximum cost will be $1.50 per seat, and we anticipate that the final cost will be $0.50 per seat.

We have created marketing materials under what we're calling the Virtual Programming Consortium (VPC). These materials are ready-made for your use, or you may easily add your logo. The intent is to provide ready-made materials so that each participating library may market this as their own program. See the attached poster, flyer and bookmarks. The deadline to place orders is Oct. 13 or while supplies last. Attached are the order forms, the marketing materials, and an FAQ. Sign up for as many or as few seats as you like. We expect this event to fill up quickly, so let us know of your interest ASAP!

We hope you'll be as excited as we are to work together to bring great programming to our communities!
