Two New Documents to Support RAILS Networking Groups
Networking groups have long played an important part in the RAILS community. As a way to share knowledge and connect with colleagues from other RAILS libraries, these groups help shape policies, programs, and services across library types. RAILS has over 80 official groups in its networking group directory.
In meeting with networking groups recently, RAILS has heard from many groups that they would like stronger definitions of a networking group, as well as more advice on how to start a new one. To address this, RAILS recently created two new documents:
- Networking Group FAQ - an FAQ on what networking groups do and how they operate
- Starting a New Networking Group - a guide to creating your own networking group
Both of these documents are available from the Support for Networking Groups page. For more support or questions, please reach out to Dan Bostrom, RAILS Member Engagement Manager, 630.734.5152.
