Sal Redhawk is a lifelong resident of Illinois and is descended from the Zapatecan and Chichimecan tribes. He has been recognized for his expertise in Native American history and culture and been vetted by Jum Thunder, tribal Historian of the Forest Band Potowatomi. He has taught at numerous elementary schools, Joliet Junior College, Aurora University, various museums, libraries, park and forest districts and historical societies throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.
This educational session about authentic American Indian history and Culture will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 am. All ages are welcome.
