Libraries are in the business of lending – books, dvd's, audiobook, and eBooks come to mind. But the Peru Public Library District is adding some unusual things to its lending collection. The library is adding board games, tote baskets, projectors (slide and computer) and much more. The Peru Library has created a Library of Things a collection of gadgets, devices, and objects that patrons need infrequently (binoculars, folding chairs) or want to try (3D printing pens, Roku). Most items in the collection are available to anyone with a public library card – Peru's or any other library – but the Hotspots and Roku's are limited to just Peru library patrons. Visit the library or its website (perulibrary.org) to learn more about the new Library of Things -free to borrow. The Peru Public Library District is at 1409 11th Street, across from Washington Park.
