The Wauconda Area Library Foundation and Wauconda Area Library Welcome Garth Stein October 23 and 24, 2019.
The Wauconda Area Library Foundation with Wauconda Area Library, a great little library, is proud to present a great big, exclusive to our area, author visit! We welcome Garth Stein, author of the bestselling book and motion picture sensation The Art of Racing in the Rain. Garth will headline two major speaking appearances in Wauconda and visit with elementary students in Wauconda District 118 schools. Everyone is cordially invited to meet the author, visit our library, and celebrate his acclaimed book through the following events.
The Wauconda Area Library Foundation invites you to their event, The Art of Racing in the Rain: An Evening with Garth Stein. This ticketed event is on Wednesday October 23 from 7-9 p.m., at Wauconda Area Library (801 N. Main Street, Wauconda) which will close early for this special evening. Each $50 ticket includes the opportunity to personally meet Garth, receive a signed book, and enjoy a wine-beer-appetizer after-hours reception. Tickets are limited and may be purchased via the library website starting Friday, August 16.
Garth Stein will also speak at Wauconda High School Auditorium (555 N. Main St. Wauconda) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 24. Our guest author will have the floor to discuss his books, the writing process, and maybe even the beauty of old cars. The Wauconda community and surrounding neighbors are invited to attend. Tickets will be available starting on Friday, August 16. There is a $5 registration fee.
