A limited number of tickets are still available for the Glen Ellyn Library Foundation's Jungle Book Ball, Saturday, November 4 from 7-10 pm, hosted at the library. Evoking Rudyard Kipling's beloved tale of Mowgli and his jungle adventures, this formal-attire ball will feature local fare, an open bar, live and silent auctions, and so much more!
"The idea of the ball is to treat the community to a unique experience, introduce or remind them of all the great services the library provides to the community, and raise money to help the library continue to be a community pillar," said Dawn Bussey, Library Director.
Adults will be treated to small-plate appetizers from local restaurants, an open bar featuring specialty drinks, and a chance to bid on auction items including vacations in Rosemary Beach, FL, Ouray, CO and Walt Disney World. "It's meant to be an enjoyable night out that also raises money for the library," said Kelley Kalinich, Foundation Board President.
General tickets are $150 per person and VIP Prologue tickets, which grant access to a VIP hour beginning at 6 pm, are $300 per person.
"The Jungle Book Ball is a way for the Foundation to work in tandem with the community to support the goals and offerings of the library," continued Kalinich. "All funds raised go directly to the library."
All donations received will support Phase III of the Glen Ellyn Public Library Master Renovation Plan, which includes remodeling the Circulation area and creating a café and a drive-up window.
