The Round Lake Area Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic, creative team player with excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service, to fill a part-time position at the library. The person filling this position will provide reference, reader's advisory, and program services to children of all ages and abilities and their caregivers. This position will teach patrons basic computer skills, how to use library resources and electronic services, as well as providing
weekly Spanish storytimes. We are looking for a candidate who has familiarity with current books and authors and has the ability to relay that information to patrons.
High school diploma or GED, or comparable education or work experience. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, the ability to maintain a good attitude and a sense of humor, above-average computer skills, and the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule. This position also requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
