Forest Park Public Library is seeking a customer service specialist to join our Patron Services department in the Desk Assistant/Clerk role.

Duties include: greeting patrons, answering phones, providing directional assistance; checking in and out materials; issuing and renewing library cards; implementation of library circulation policies and procedures; collecting payment for fines and other charges; sorting and shelving materials; other duties as assigned.
Customer service experience required
Priority will be given to candidates with public library experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position:
Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to move book carts, empty or loaded.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
