This is a temporary position that will last for six months. Hours: Mondays and Fridays: 12 pm – 5:30 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays: 2:00 pm – 7:30 pm; Saturdays: 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Salary: 
$13.00 / hour

Primary Job Duty: The primary function of this temporary position is to clean and disinfect library furniture on a regularly scheduled basis to comply with CDC guidelines.

Secondary job duties include:

  • Clean library, including but not limited to vacuuming carpeted areas, mopping uncarpeted floors, and cleaning soiled areas on walls, floors, and furniture.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms including but not limited to cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and floors; and replacing toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  • Perform grounds maintenance including but not limited to mowing grass; weeding flower-beds; trimming shrubbery; emptying trash receptacles; picking up trash from around grounds; and assisting with snow blowing, shoveling, and salting sidewalks.
  • Set up and move furniture for meetings and programs.
  • Loads and unloads library materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • May run errands as needed.
  • Cooperates as a team member with the library staff in performing any duties essential to the achievement of effective library operations.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to express self well in English, both orally and in writing, required.
  • Two years of experience in custodial work preferred.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical equipment preferred.
  • Competency in MS Office products preferred.
