Are you looking for the opportunity to shape our community's Library experiences by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all? Green Hills Public Library District is seeking a part-time Facilities Assistant to perform general building and grounds maintenance, set up rooms for Library programs, and handle recycling of discarded Library materials. Grounds maintenance will change from season to season and may include snow removal, de-icing, watering, weeding, etc.
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work, can successfully carry out duties with minimal supervision, keeps the building/grounds neat, and uses good judgment in contacting their manager when necessary. In addition, applicants should demonstrate knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices needed for maintenance work and minor repairs.
This is a highly physical job requiring the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, as well as performing frequent standing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, laying, and twisting to perform maintenance on furnishings and equipment.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience; general building maintenance or repair preferred.
- Valid Driver's License, proof of insurance, and access to a vehicle to be used for Library business.
