Average 16 hours per week. Includes daytime, evening and weekend shifts
from $16.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications

Warrenville Public Library District is looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and instilling the joy of reading and learning. You'll be responsible for providing excellent experiences for our young visitors and their caregivers. In addition to helping children navigate our collections and resources to find what interests them, you'll share your enthusiasm by leading storytimes and other programs. You'll work as part of a team to provide reference and readers' advisory services for children of all ages, including teens. As a vital member of our Public Services Team, you'll work collaboratively to support our Strategic Plan goals.

This position requires:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Library Technical Assistant Certificate
  • One year successful experience working with children in a library setting or two years successful experience in a role working with children in an educational setting
