Do you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy organizing? The Batavia Public Library District is seeking friendly, service minded individuals to join our team.
Library Pages return library materials to the shelves, empty the book drops, and maintain order in the library's public spaces and other responsibilities as assigned. The work schedule is an average of 9 -15 hours per week in increments of approximately 4 hours per shift.
Required: A minimum of three years of high school or the equivalent. The ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, and push carts filled with books. Applicants must successfully complete a shelving test to move to the next step in the hiring process.
Preferred: Avid library users are encouraged to apply! Prior Library experience is desirable.
Schedule: We have two openings (when applying, please specify which position)
Position # 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday 1:00 - 5:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays
Position #2: Monday, & Thursday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays
