Are you in tune with the diverse needs that drive teens? We are seeking a creative, friendly, resourceful and engaging advocate for teens to work with us and our community!
As Teen Services Advisor, you will join our team to develop and present interactive programs, contribute to outreach in schools and the community as well as assist teens in the Hub, the library's dynamic space for teens in Arlington Heights. In the Hub, teens come to create, learn, hang out with their friends, laugh, make and Do-It-Themselves. The Hub also provides homework help and connects teens to the library materials and resources they need.
Requirements & Skills:
Positive and friendly customer service attitude in order to excel in Our Culture. Knowledge of teen literature and interests. Experience with Mac and PC. Familiar with internet and web 2.0 tools. Effective communication skills to work with teens, our community and staff.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Group instruction experience
- Previous experience with teens grades 7-12
- Interest in working with tweens grades 4-6
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
