Deerfield Public Library is looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to providing excellent customer service to our patrons. Essential functions of the Patron Services Assistant include: providing excellent customer service, assisting patrons with the check out process, library card registration, and technology related questions. This position will assist with the coordination of the opening and closing of the Library and promote current programs and services.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor's degree related to the job responsibilities or LTA is preferred
General knowledge of Public Library Circulation practices and principles
Knowledge of current integrated Library systems
Knowledge of Library-related technology, equipment, software and digital resources
Reliable transportation to work is required
