This position provides library services, including programming, readers' advisory, and collection development, to young patrons and their caregivers.
Primary duties include:
- Responsibility for one or more areas of collection development including working within the assigned budget, selecting appropriate current materials, and maintaining the collection by continually weeding outdated materials.
- Developing and conducting story times, book discussions, and other programs to children ranging in age from birth to high school, both inside and outside the library.
- Assisting and instructing patrons using virtual resources, downloading digital content, and using publicly available technology including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, fax, etc.
Education: Bachelor's degree or LTA preferred or equivalent library experience.
