LIBRARY ASSISTANT II
Harper College is currently seeking applicants for the Library Assistant II position. The successful candidate will use standard bibliographic data, internationally established rules, and local or current cataloging practices to edit and update bibliographic records for Library materials in all formats. The Library Assistant II will verify the accuracy and maintain the integrity of the bibliographic and authority records in the OCLC and Harper Library databases. You also will work with all Library departments to maintain Harper Library database consistency.
- Associate degree in Library Technician program or fifteen semester hours of college library science
- At least 2 years of library cataloging experience
- Working knowledge of RDA, Library of Congress classification, MARC formats and cataloging standards required.
