Duties: Develops and implements plans for donor solicitations and donor recognition. Maintains new and ongoing donor lists; builds and manages a portfolio of annual funds prospects, implementing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. Leads development of promotion materials used in donor education and solicitation. Ensures stewardship of past, current, and prospective donors through personal contacts, articulate correspondence, and timely gift acknowledgements. Plans special events to cultivate donors and/or raise money for the library.Serves as liaison and provides support to the Friends of the Library organization. Collaborates with staff on submission of grant proposals.
Requires: Bachelor's degree and two years directly related experience in development for a non-profit or publicly funded organization. Demonstrated success in designing and leading major fundraising efforts. Successful record of accomplishment with developing and sustaining strong benefactor relationships with organizations and individuals.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient computer and technology skills including the use of the Internet, mobile devices, and social media. Proficiency with Constant Contact or other contact management software.
Certified Fund Raising Executive credentialing desired.
