The Westmont Public Library is seeking an innovative and energetic individual with excellent communication skills, a strong customer service philosophy, and a sense of humor to join our team as the Manager of Youth and Teen Services. Duties include hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating the Youth Services staff; overseeing Youth Services budgets and projects; innovating and implementing programs and services that meet the needs of the community; reviewing and recommending policies and operational procedures; representing the library at community events and meetings.
The successful candidate must be a team player who demonstrates initiative, is adept at motivating and supporting staff, and has a passion for bringing library services out into the community. As part of the management team, the Manager of Youth and Teen Services must be an approachable individual who has the ability to exercise tact, independent judgment, and diplomacy.
An MLS from an ALA accredited library school, a minimum of three years experience in a public library youth services department, and budgetary and supervisory experience required.

Starting salary at $55,000 DOQ.
