We are looking for a friendly, creative, and enthusiastic individual who is ready with a smile and likes helping people. This position is designed to provide experience in learning how to provide excellent customer service and polish your communication skills as you help answer questions at the desk, provide basic instruction on using our catalog and computers, assist with program support, and work effectively with our diverse community and seasoned professionals.
Requirements & Skills:
Customer service experience and knowledge of children's literature preferred. Experience with working with children ages 0-12 preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Preferred candidates will be currently enrolled in an MLIS or Education program.
Hours and Scheduling:
14 week Internship. Part-time position, 20 hours per week from May 28 to August 11. Hours of work will include weekdays with the option of some evenings and weekends.
