We are looking for a creative, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual who is eager to work with children, teens, and adults while assisting us with our library-wide summer reading program. You will be part of a team organizing and preparing various aspects of the program, working directly with our teen volunteers and representing the library at the summer reading table.
This position is designed to give MLIS/Education students experience in assisting with program planning and learning how to provide excellent customer service while working with seasoned library professionals in an award winning public library.
Requirements & Skills:
Preferred candidates will be currently enrolled in an education or MLIS degreed program.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and excel in Our Culture.
Hours and Scheduling:
14 week Internship. Part time position, 23 hours per week. Must be available for day, evening and weekend hours from approximately May 20 through August 11.
