We are pleased to announce a full-time librarian position at Geneva Community High School beginning in August of 2019. The individual filling this position will collaborate with faculty and staff to provide forward-thinking library services to our students.
Due to the low numbers of qualified applicants often experienced in this area, we are seeking your assistance in filling this position. If you are aware of strong librarian candidates that may be interested, please encourage them to apply online at their earliest convenience.
Geneva Community High School is a comprehensive suburban high school approximately 35 miles west of Chicago. With an enrollment of around 2000 students, the school offers a variety of courses, programs of study, and co-curricular activities. Over 90% of students continue their studies after high school at a college or university, and Geneva High School has consistently been ranked as one of the top-performing high schools in Illinois.
The Geneva community is exceptionally supportive of the school system, making it not only a great place to work, but a fantastic place to live as well. Business Week recently rated Geneva as the "Best Place to Raise Kids in Illinois," based in large part on the strong performance of Geneva schools.
The school district offers a competitive salary and benefit package for teachers. Applications are currently being accepted online at www.teachinkane.org. The calls for interviews will begin in the near future and continue until the position is filled.
Again, thank you for your assistance in this important matter. Feel free to copy and distribute this press release as needed.
