Subject to administrative approval of the Library Program Administrator of the Library Development Group, Grants/Programs, serves as a consultant in the specialized area of library services, library programming and training for library staff and trustees from the various types of Illinois libraries; implements policies and administers grants and programs; administers statewide programs and grants such as the System Area and Per Capita grant program, the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant program, the construction grant program, Veterans Home grants and statewide library delivery.; represents the State Library at appropriate meetings that deal with these specialized areas of library services; advises and consults with regional library systems. Requires Travel – may include nights & weekends. Requires possession of valid Illinois driver's license. Requires lifting and carrying, pushing /pulling of 0-50 lbs.
