Seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy, customer service-oriented, self-directed librarian with excellent communication skills to work at our busy northwest suburban public library. Duties include working at the Adult Services desk providing reference and readers' advisory services to adults and teens, individual and group computer instruction, and collection development. 20 hours/week plus weekend rotation.
Requirements: ALA-accredited MLS; one year customer service experience (public library experience preferred); advanced knowledge of print, non-print, and electronic resources; basic knowledge of word processing, email, PCs, and current technology; advanced knowledge of internet searching.
