The Green Hills Public Library District is looking for a part-time Security Monitor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: understanding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the Library, providing uniformly gracious and friendly service to all users; patrolling Library premises and providing security for all areas of the Library including the building, parking lots, and grounds to ensure comfort and safety of patrons in the building. The Security Monitor will also assist in behavior correction, crisis situations, and emergencies including contacting law enforcement and emergency personnel.
We are looking for a quick learner who will be reliable, enjoy working with the public, and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to use good judgment and perform duties without direct supervision, handle problems diplomatically and firmly to maintain a comfortable level of order in the Library, and handle emergency situations in a calm, capable manner.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Two years of experience in a public service environment required; security or law enforcement experience preferred.
