22 hour per week position and 25 hour per week position; must be flexible to cover days, evenings and weekend rotations
$15.62 per hour, DOQ. Positions include some benefits

The Glenview Public Library has openings for two part-time Paraprofessional I positions in the Youth Services Department. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting children through grade eight and their caregivers with finding materials, instructing patrons in the use of the online catalog and computer resources, handling event registrations and providing program support, filling displays, assisting with collection-related duties, assisting with Storytime programs and performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should enjoy working with children and the public, be proficient in the use of technology and able to collaborate and work well within a team environment. Position requires excellence in communication and customer service interactions with both patrons and staff. The ideal candidates will be flexible, self-motivated, possess an enthusiastic attitude and demonstrate familiarity with children's literature.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an LTA certificate and a minimum of one year relevant library experience working with youth, preferably in a public library setting
