The Poetry Foundation seeks an Education and Youth Services Assistant to aid in the delivery of educational field trip programs to children and youth, as well as to university students and lifelong learners.
The Education and Youth Services Assistant will be responsible for providing instructional field trips to children and youth, both at the Poetry Foundation and in offsite locations. Under the supervision of the Library Director they will work to develop and refine program content. They will also provide staffing support for the library. They will assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements: The successful candidate must possess prior experience delivering programs for children and youth as well as excellent customer service skills. A specialized background in contemporary poetry and literature are essential. Enthusiasm for working with young people and an outgoing personality are crucial. An ability to work independently is an asset. Prior experience in a library setting is desirable, but not required.
