Preschool Partnerships is a networking group for library staff who provide services, programs and outreach to preschools and childcare centers. We meet 4 times a year at different libraries, primarily in the Northern Suburbs. Each meeting includes discussion of a special topic, time to share questions/current successes or challenges, and a tour of the host library. Past meeting topics include:
- Services to educators (including material requests, teacher cards and preschool fairs)
- Storytime and outreach visit best practices
- Programs for preschoolers beyond storytime
- Media Mentorship
- Feedback from patrons (how to get it and what to do with it)
- Summer Reading Round-up
Meetings are held in January, March, September and November. We usually meet on the 4th Thursday of the month from 1 - 3 p.m.
