Position Description: 

Park Forest Public Library is seeking a person full of life and energy, with a great love of children, to join our service-oriented library team.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about library services for children and their care-givers.

We are looking for the smiling, welcoming person who has proven skills in creativity and that imaginative quality that all children love. Self-motivation and confidence in the planning and carrying out activities that have made our library a destination for all-age children is essential to the high quality already instilled by our library staff.  We require knowledge of children’s literature and experience working with children, preferably in a school, library, or bookstore setting.

Duties will include providing reference and reader's advisory services, supervising and participating in program planning and presentation, collection development, assisting patrons of all ages with materials and equipment. ALA/MLS degree preferred.
