Under the direction of the Circulation Manger, this position is responsible for providing direct circulation services to patrons in person, over the phone or through the website. Use the library automation system to check-in/check-out materials, register patrons for library cards, and accept payment for fines/fees. Answer telephone and refer calls to appropriate person or department. Inspect library materials for damage, empty book drops/bins. Receive and and process library materials for van delivery. Assist with shelving and paging duties.
High school diploma or equivalent; two years customer service experience and one year library experience preferred. Working knowledge of computers and office equipment and ability to provide basic level of assistance as needed.
