Youth Services Manager

Full Time (37.5 hours/week)

The Glenside Public Library District is seeking an energetic individual to manage its Youth Services Department employing five full-time librarians, two part time librarians, and one part time clerk.  The department directly serves children through fifth grade and collaborates with Adult Services to facilitate programming for sixth to eighth grades.

The youth services manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all functions of youth services including:  implementing library policies and goals, reference services, collection development, outreach, budgeting, and staff development.

ALA accredited Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science required.  

Annual salary from $52,767.  Position includes benefits (Medical/Dental, four weeks of vacation) and participation in IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund);
