The Joliet Public Library is looking for a talented, innovative, and enthusiastic Deputy Director at the Main Library located at 150 N. Ottawa Street, Joliet, IL 60432. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Library Director in planning, directing and overseeing the activities and operations of the Joliet Public Library with a strong focus on technology.
We are looking for an individual who has an ALA approved MLS, three to five years of increasing management responsibility and higher level supervisory experience in a public library. This person reports to the Library Director and serves on the Leadership Management Team.
Salary and Benefits: $68,640+ depending on qualifications. We offer excellent benefits—12 sick days/year, five weeks of vacation after the first year, and 12 holidays/year. IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) is included as well as medical, dental, vision and life insurance for the employee.
