The Eisenhower Public Library in Harwood Heights, Illinois is looking for a marketing & public relations dynamo to lead us into the future of PR. The perfect candidate will have the technological skills & professional drive to create, plan, develop, utilize & manage an energetic, cohesive virtual & print marketing plan & branding strategy that will make the Eisenhower THE destination for the residents of Norridge & Harwood Heights. The person in this position will work closely with the Director & the rest of the Management Team to ensure that our marketing efforts support our strategic plan & promote the library utilizing all avenues of communication with our patrons. You’ll even get an assistant! Help us connect with our community outside the library and put the Eisenhower on the marketing map.
The position’s responsibilities & necessary skills will include (but are not limited to):
- As a member of the Management Team, work with the Director & all librarians to promote Eisenhower to our community
- Develop & implement a marketing plan, initiatives & activities that support the Library’s Strategic Plan
- Supervision of one part-time Marketing Assistant
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of and ability to implement & use technology-based marketing & PR tools that tap into the cultural zeitgeist
Requirements for qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
- 2 years public relations work experience
- Access to transportation
